Toning suite
The refurbished toning suite was opened in May 2024.
It features 8 power assisted exercise machines.
Power assisted exercise
Our power assisted exercise machines provide a "helping hand” in a low impact, full body workout circuit.
The electronically controlled exercise machines:
- provide safe, enjoyable and accessible exercise
- work a variety of muscle groups
- are seated and recumbent, so they cause less stress on the body with lower impact on the joints
There are no weight stacks, just safe and effective power assisted technology.
Using the machines is ideal for improving:
- aerobic fitness
- balance and flexibility
- muscular strength
- social wellbeing
Accessible exercise
The toning suite is ideal for people:
- with mobility issues
- joint problems
- recovering from illness, injury or surgery
- who cannot or do not want to use a traditional gym
Use of the toning suite is free under the Be Active Scheme.
