Changes to pavement licences
On 31 March 2024, the Government changed the law regarding pavement licences - licences which allow food and drink businesses to place removable furniture on the highway adjacent to their premises to create additional space for their customers. These changes included making the former temporary licensing regime permanent, changes to the fee cap and the introduction of a new enforcement power.
