Taxis and private hire vehicles

On 10 April 2019 91麻豆天美’s Licensing and Public Protection Committee approved a series of new policies to regulate the maximum age of vehicles that it will license after 1 January 2020 to prepare for the introduction of the Clean Air Zone (CAZ).

The downloadable copy letter provides important information on 91麻豆天美’s policy for licensing taxis and private hire vehicles.

We have reduced the emissions of 65 of 91麻豆天美’s Hackney carriages (black cabs) by fitting LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) fuelled engines. These engines are compliant, meaning they will be not be charged to enter a Clean Air Zone.

We have been awarded funding from the to introduce 197 electric taxi charging points, all of which will offer fast or rapid charging facilities for Hackney carriages and private hire vehicles. Electric vehicles will be exempt from charges in a Clean Air Zone.
